UNITE!
So this book totally fits in to the cheesy romance category, and here's why:Sadie and her pregnant mom have just moved to Alabama. Her mom is kind of lazy, and is constantly using her pregnancy as an excuse. So of course, Sadie has to step up and be the grown up in this relationship. As soon as school is out Sadie's mom just happens to be too pregnant to work, so she sends Sadie in her place, to go work in the rich part of town as a servant.
Eventually Sadie's mom has the baby (it's a boy, Sam), and then, predictably, Sadie has to take care of Sam as well as her mom. School starts up again leaving Sadie with a huge workload: school, work, a depressed mom, and a crying baby. Yuck..
Turns out, she works in the house of THE hot teen rocker Jax Stone, who just HAPPENS to be home for the summer and just HAPPENS to run into Sadie while she is working there. Of course, he totally falls head over heels for her and pursues her, and she totally falls for him. But no teen romance would be complete without a love triangle of sorts. Who else but the super cute college boy Marcus who ALSO works in the house with Sadie, and ALSO has the hots for her. Begin the battle for Sadie's heart: Jax vs. Marcus! Who will win? The cute college boy who works with Sadie all day every day, or the hot and famous rock star who's entire life is in the spotlight and will do anything to protect Sadie from the media?
I gotta tell you, even with the cheesy lines that come out of Jax's mouth every other page, I STILL love this book. Who doesn't love the idea of dating a famous rock star with a heart of gold? If you say you don't you are a TOTAL liar! Admit it, rock stars have always been hot. The voice, the good looks, the MONEY, the spotlight, everything a girl could ever want or need! This book totally has everything I love in it: the hot boys, the romance, the nice cars, the romantic scenes on the beach (LOVE the beach!), and even a little damsel in distress thrown in!
READ IT!
I dare you
