Hello World

So here's how this blog got started: We do a lot of crazy things here in this apartment complex, because when you get 4 crazy girls together who like to be have fun and act like children half the time, there are bound to be some good stories, right? Exactly! Well, our problem seems to be a consistency of a lack of a camera when ever we get together, and the fact that I really stick at journaling. So my solution is to blog about it!
SO,
To catch up with the adventures we have had so far, (because I'm lame and didn't think to blog about it until we were already a month into the semester) we have gone dumpster diving, we have bleach ty-dyed shirts,we have played ultimate frisbee in the park (with a few embarrassing moments on my part..sorry Jeremy!), we have had crazy shopping trips to Idaho Falls, and just recently we have gotten a new dishwasher! (Which is probably one of our craziest ones yet, believe me).
You're probably thinking, "Dumpster diving???" Yep, you read it right, we went dumpster diving, and it was surprisingly fun! So, its about 12:30 in the morning and we are hanging out. I think it was one of our first weekends together. So Emma, Mary, Ian, and I are chilling downstairs, when Caitlyn comes down and is kinda freaking out because she can't find this huge check that she needs to pay her rent (it was like a $900 check! A big deal). She asks who took out the trash and when. Well, Emma did a day or two before and lucky for Caitlyn the trash man hadn't come yet. So, what do I do? I open, my big mouth. "Hey, lets go dumpster diving!" .....So we all throw on sweatshirts and head out to the dumpster to start digging. I, being the brave soul that I am (who can;t think straight at one in the morning) hop into the big dumpster in front of our apartments and start pulling out bags! I gotta say, it was kinda fun. So we find the right trash bag and tear it open. Caitlyn, since it was her check, was the one who got to do the actual digging through the teach for her check. Picture this: 5 college students, at one in the morning, all standing around in the middle of the parking lot, with our cell phones for flash lights, digging in the trash! I;m sure the cars driving by thought we were really that desperate and starving :) So we dig through the whole bag and...nothing! No check. All we got was dirty (sort of). So, we head back in all defeated and someone convinces Caitlyn to look in her wallet just once more. And you know what? IT WAS THERE THE WHOLE TIME!! Haha. Well maybe it doesn't sound funny now, but give it time :)
Couple of weeks later (or maybe just one or two...) we decide to ty-dye some shirts..with bleach! We had a friend who had one and we thought 'hey, that would be so cool!'. So we buy some shirts and spray bottles and some bleach, and head to the park, one very cold afternoon. But despite the numbing of our fingers, we had crazy fun! Some shirts didn't turn out so cool (Emma's...hint hint) but it still looked freaking awesome! Our lack of bleaching skills turned out to be the coolest shirts we ever made! We also made an experimental shirt with all of our names, that we have hanging on the wall! (pictures to come soon) So we now have cool momentos to remember our awesome ty0dying experience from, even if we don't think they are that cool. (They really are though)
Our most recent one though happened just last night! We got a new dishwasher!! Sounds normal right? Until the thing decides to start leaking! Yes, Caitlyn walks into the kitchen and says those words that announce that something it terrible wrong.
"Uh, ooohh..."
Well guess what? There was a HUGE giant puddle in the middle of our kitchen floor! It's under the fridge and the stove too..GREAT......So, I whip out the mop and Caitlyn grabs a towel and we start cleaning the floors (Mary was happy that the floors were cleaned though. Bonus!) We must have wrung out that towel at least 3 times. Emma just happened to be on the phone with Ian when Caitlyn shouts "the kitchen's flooded!!" So guess who tried to come over and fix our dishwasher? Ian! Yep, with some...unconventional tools, we pull out the dishwasher (sort of, it got stuck half way out), and my handy-dandy fix-everything DUCK TAPE, Ian fixed our brand new dishwasher! Through out the whole ordeal we are cracking jokes and singing random songs (which is a daily, if not hourly, habit that we have in this apartment) and the whole thing turns out to be much more of a mini party than a pain in the butt. We decided to take Ian out to ice cream for his hero-like fixing skills, and come back to have, yet ANOTHER giggle fest, after a crazy game of Ninjas! Y'all should try it some time, the constant laughing (and crying on Emma and Caitlyn's part) is a great ab work out!
So, now that we are , somewhat caught up.....Do you think we are crazy yet? Cause this is only the half of it and we still have half of a semester left! This could be the greatest roller coaster ever!
Who's excited?
